Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Boy Scout Summer Camp has a long and rich history associated with Lake Forest. Troop #46 sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, attends the camp each summer. If you know any Lake Forest contact that we could document camp history, please contact Susan Kelsey at 312-213-6616.
Here are items we are documenting and verifying:
- Strenger Plumbing donated all the plumbing in the 1500 acre boy scout camp.
- Oil Painting in Dining Hall lodge supposedly was donated by someone from Lake Forest. The artwork showcases Indians/teepee along a river front. We think it was in the Wilmette Yacht Club and when they renovated the space, the painting was not going to used for the new club.
